In March 2017, MA students from the Institute of Cultural Practices at the University of Manchester put out a callout for a designer to work for them on a project. They were organising a free events programme as part of the National Refugee Week, taking place Monday 19 – Friday 23 June 2017 in various venues across the city of Manchester. They chose me to be their designer to help them market this series of events.
I was asked to design a variety of things – a website template (on wordpress), a logo, flyers (the events programme), and a poster for their final event for the week (The Refugee Cultural Festival).
